Test Results
As part of your consultation, your doctor may ask that you have blood tests, x-rays or other investigations before your review appointment. It is important for you to follow up these tests and make sure that everything is normal. We recommend that you phone us no sooner than 5 to 6 working days after your tests are taken. Because some tests take longer, you might discuss this with your GP.
Our reception staff are not permitted to discuss results, and we ask that you phone our clinic between 2.00 and 3.00pm so that results can be discussed with our nurses. Of course, we will take calls outside these times, but we may need to return your call.
This results system will better serve your safety, and ensure that if you need to see your GP, an appointment of the right priority can be made.
Some of our GP's offer an e-mail based results system. As this is not yet clinic wide, we suggest you discuss this at consultation time.
This results system also applies to pap smears.
Remember, your health with our help, is your responsibility.
Costs of Additional Services
Addtional health care services provided both within this surgery and externally for treatments, investigations and procedures may attract additional costs to those of your consultation. We encourage you to discuss these costs with your doctor so you can make an informed decision about your health care.
