Joan Lindsay

Joan was born in Renmark, SA and did her hospital nurse training at Mildura Base Hospital which at the time was affiliated with Bendigo School of Nursing.  She nursed for several years at Repatriation General Hospital, Daws Park, SA before completing her Graduate Nurse program at Flinders Medical Centre.  Joan remained at this hospital for 16 years before moving to Townsville in 1998.  She then nursed for 9 years at the Mater Private Hospital in the Cardiothoracic Unit before making a career change to Practice Nursing in 2007.  Joan has 3 children who all attend JCU.
