Family Planning - Hermit Park Clinic

A new service offered from March 2008 has an emphasis on family planning.  We have doctors qualified to place contraceptive implants, IUDs, and to perform vasectomies.  For each of these services we need a separate appointment where suitability can be assessed, and information about the procedures shared.  Offering IUD placement and vasectomy reflects our current and growing emphasis on providing a total general practice service, and we think safe, effective family planning is part of that service.  With vasectomy waiting times now exceeding six months, we hope this service will be valuable to the Townsville community.
