Dr Rebecca Perks

Dr Rebecca Perks (nee Lucy) graduated from James Cook University in 2005 as a member of the first ever graduating class in North Queensland.  Originally from Mackay, Rebecca has worked stints in Fiji, Torres Strait Islands, Mt Isa, Sarina and Longreach.

In Townsville, Rebecca has worked as an Intern and Junior House Officer at the Townsville Hospital.  In 2007 she worked at Hickey and Keys Family Physicians on Fulham Road and has filled in as the Townsville Crocodiles (Basketball) Team Doctor.  Rebecca currently performs surgical assisting with spinal surgeon, Dr Richard Emery from Spinal Solutions.

Rebecca has interests in pediatrics, women and children's health, oncology and anti-natal shared care.  She is an advanced registrar currently completing the final year of her Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and plans to undertake a Diploma in Child Health (Pediatrics).

Rebecca is recently married and is keen to work before undertaking the adventures of Motherhood.
