Dr Andrew Tucker

Dr Andrew Tucker graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 2001, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science.  The last two years of his medical training were completed in North Queensland, mostly at the old Townsville General Hospital in North Ward.

After graduation, Andrew initially worked at the Townsville Hospital as an intern and RMO.  He then worked in various regional hospitals in Queensland.  In 2004, Andrew worked at Mackay Base Hospital as an RMO and then moved to Bundaberg Base Hospital in 2005 where he worked as an Emergency Registrar and Medical Registrar.  In 2006 he spent the first half of the year at Ingham Hospital and then worked as a Locum Registrar in emergency medicine.

In 2007 Andrew commenced in General Practice, first at Charles Street Medical Centre and then at Bluewater Medical Practice.  He has been at Hermit Park Clinic since January 2008.

Outside of medicine he races with the local cycling club and is learning French (but is far from fluent).
